If you want to get to know the island of Krk further, we recommend a visit to Vrbnik, a medieval town perched on a cliff above the sea, known for its wine tradition and narrow stone streets. In Vrbnik, you can taste the famous Vrbnička žlahtina, visit local wineries and enjoy the authentic island atmosphere. The town of Krk, the administrative and historical center of the island, offers a walk along the old city walls, a visit to the cathedral and a lively harbor full of restaurants, shops and cultural events.

ISLAND OF KRK AND SURROUNDINGS

On the northwest side of the island is Omišalj, a town rich in history and impressive views, while in Punat you can visit the famous aquarium and seahorse center. In Malinska and Njivice you can enjoy modern beaches and pleasant promenades, while lovers of peace and nature will certainly enjoy the forests and cycling paths around Dobrinj.

For those who want to explore the coast from the sea, organized boat trips are available, visits to nearby islands such as Plavnik and Cres, as well as one-day trips with swimming, lunch and panoramic sightseeing included. Diving, kayaking, cycling, sailing or simply an evening walk by the sea – Krk offers activities for every taste and pace.
